| Beastie Boys announce second bestival show
The bloody brilliant Beastie Boys have only gone and given us something else to get excited about. They’re going to brave Bestival for a very special second show ' A Gala Event. This will be an exclusive instrumental show, taking place on the Sunday afternoon in the Big Top. Rob da Bank has his tuxedo at the dry cleaners and we recommend you do the same. This is what the Beastie Boys have said about this forthcoming show,, 'Its gonna be sick!'
And for those that cant wait for Bestival, or cant make it to the regional parties that we previously announced, then worry no more because we have laid on a very special London launch party to get the Bestival juices flowing. This is your chance to get back into nonsense mode and prepare for the madness that the forthcoming festival will no doubt offer. And of course a Bestival party wouldn’t be a Bestival party without some fancy dress! The theme for this party is Flappers and Pirates. On the live front we’ll have a nice taster of artists performing at this year’s festival. Rob da Bank will be joined by the beautiful Candie Payne. Her sweet girl meets boy kitchen pop songs recall a late sixties British cinema sound. The urban poet of the moment Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip makes a welcome appearance. Also live is Natty ' one of the top tips for 2007 in many peoples charts..imagine if bob marley was still alive and dropping into the blooomsbury ballroom for an hour or two and youre not far off. And Planning To Rock ' Planning to Rock is Janine Rostron - a spaced out bonkers performance artist and musician. An arty Janis Joplin. A psycho-tropic wonder. A musician and video master whose powerful voice and groundbreaking songwriting is generating waves.
On the DJ front is Rob da Bank with MC Beardyman with a couple of world-famous Sound Systems in the form of Trojan and Sombrero! FRIDAY APRIL 20TH ' BLOOMSBURY BALLROOM 9pm ' 3am £12.50 in advance, £15 on door
