Kaisers prepare new album
Kaiser Chiefs are planning an album of brand new material next month, just weeks after the release of "Yours Truly, Angry Mob".
.
The group are considering making their third LP available to fan club members only and releasing it on their own label.
Bass player Simon Rix also says The Chiefs plan to "bang out" a fourth record shortly, rather than wait two years as they did following their debut "Employment".
He explained: "When we recorded this album ('Yours Truly, Angry Mob') we recorded more songs for a third album.
"It's done and we'd like to release it in April. It will be a fans-only album and we'll probably release it on our own label."
On the subject of the band's future, Rix continued: "It can get frustrating waiting between releases.
"We wrote 'Employment' and then we didn't record for another two years. We'd prefer to start writing our next (major) album soon.
"Bands in the '60s used to bang albums out and that's what we want to do."
Kaiser Chiefs are amongst the acts playing the Glastonbury Festival this summer, alongside headliners The Killers, Arctic Monkeys and The Who.
